Program Overview

The Opportunity Grant helps low-income students with tuition assistance and support services while pursuing training and credentials for high-wage, high-demand careers in Washington State.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for the Opportunity Grant if:

Program Benefits

Students who are eligible for the Opportunity Grant can receive:

  • Financial assistance for up to 45 credits of tuition and fees toward an eligible degree or certificate (must be used within three years)
  • Financial assistance for required books, tools, supplies, and emergency expenses
  • Assistance with navigating college processes and services and locating additional funding
  • Referrals to other agencies, programs, and community resources for your success

To be eligible for the Opportunity Grant, you must be enrolled in one of the degree or certificate programs listed below. The Opportunity Grant can also support prerequisites, foundational courses, or other required related courses for any eligible degree or certificate.

The Opportunity Grant cannot support non-credit classes such as the CNA Fast Track.
