Early Achievers Grant
Program Overview
The Early Achievers Grant is a student financial aid program to help employed childcare providers and early learning educators complete certificates and associate degrees in early childhood education.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for support from the Early Achievers Grant, students must meet all of the following criteria:
- Must currently be employed as an assistant teacher, lead teacher, program supervisor, center director, or family home owner/licensee at a child care center, in-home daycare, or Head Start/ECEAP program that is actively participating in the Department of Children, Youth, & Families Early Achievers program.
- Must work an average of at least 10 hours per week or 40 hours per month at the eligible child care program and have been employed for a minimum of three months
- Must be enrolled or intend to enroll in an approved Early Childhood Education degree or certificate program at Wenatchee Valley College.
Program Benefits
Students who are eligible for the Early Achievers Grant can receive:
- Funding for tuition and fees for approved ECE classes
- Funding for required books, tools, and course materials
- Funding for emergency childcare and transportation expenses
- Assistance with navigating college processes and services
